Absolute Head Scratcher.

My daughter has just emigrated to Sydney...am looking forward to visiting maybe next year. Being sent pictures of bats and complaints about mosquitos!😁. Sunny though...

I used to see large dark shapes flying in groups at night around my place. I guess there was a Flying Fox colony around. They migrate to be close to food sources, there large about the size of a cat. Fruit-eating bats. For years, nothing but a bit annoying, loud and messy if there neat your house. And then they were linked to Equine Morbility Virus, the origin of a Virus that jumped from them to Race Horses and then into a Horse trainer, and it killed him. Strict guidelines now about avoiding contact. BTW Acubras are great hats but useless if you're moving about on a motorcycle, very hard to carry about. Floppy Cancer Council wide brim hats are way easier to pack. We have the largest rate of Skin Cancer in the world, wear a hat for sure.

I've seen that happen on bikes with steel side covers. Momentary contact between the side cover and a hot wire can cause a cough or a shut down. Tell tale is a burn mark inside the cover. Could you possibly have something making contact with the bottom of the seat? Or a chaffed wire where they go through the little hole in the case near the starter motor. or something bouncing against the inside wall of the headlight?

We think it was a twisted and possibly loose pin in the EI wiring that connects the box. Typicaly shit again has happened, and I haven't been on a ride to confirm that. That's what happens when you get a phone call about bad blood test results for a family member, and urgent trips to the hospital suddenly become necessary. Bike issues get put on the back burner
