Anybody Printing 3d Parts?

Maybe admin could set up a "3d pritables" category in laverdaforum library. Would be nice to have Laverda specific printable parts collection.

I just uploaded an example: tps_gear.zip which contain stl files for tps setup I've been using for years...

I expected that a common place like Thingiverse would be used. Here is a work in progress RGS Short turn signal stem
But having it here is good.
The reason I asked is that I need a fuse box cover for my SF2 - I am working on a model. See it here It would be nice to get some more input, as I originally guessimated the dimensions. I've since had input to get it close. I am new to 3d printing will receive a printer today which will take some time to get making functional parts. The nice part about Thingiverse is that you can look at the models without having to download them and it's possible to spin them to see what's going on...

Kudos to the admin for allowing a link in the library listing...there are many places to put 3d models for sharing so having the URL that takes you the the hosting location is excellent.

I have a spare fusebox from Laverda 1000. I don’t know if it’s the same as on SF2, but I took a look at it and there are some differences compared to your model. So, I modeled mine and uploaded the stl file to library.

I would think that the SF version would benefit from the extra features... I'll ask the friend that has one, surprised he didn't mention it.

Which Laverda 1000?
The 3C has 2 fuses in a black box, as does the SFC. The SF2 has the ubiquitous 4 fuse block, with only two or 3 functional fuses.

Thanks for the help. My printer just arrived so I will set it up and see if I can get something printed.

I will eventually try the SF2 fuse box cover and I'm working on the model for the RGS short stem signal holders...

these are 50/50 parts...don't look half bad at fifty inches
UPDATE Fusebox is on the printer ~ 1 hour print

Not a useable part but it will work as a fit check for a machined version. I may thicken the walls and use a better material

Why are you 3D printing a part you can still purchase new? Andy Wagner has new two and four fuse versions. They were also fitted to millions of German cars of the 1960's and 1970's. I have bought some at auto wrecking yards for a few dollars each.

Why wouldn’t you ? It’s a good simple project to Segway into more complex projects. Looks like fun anyway
