Barbecue thread (all welcome)

The starting point for chicken Caesar salad tonight, bbq bacon just rocks. Chicken marinated in lime juice all day, croutons were bbq sour dough then rub a fresh clove of garlic on them before dicing. , Parmesan wafers baked in the oven. The only thing I cheat on is the mayo, I use Hellmanns, but I thin it out a lot to the consistency of cole slaw dressing , using organic apple cider vinegar. It puts a tang in it and takes away the oiliness of the mayo.
Jack and Maddie were a bit pissed nothing dropped of the bbq and jostled me through the door to try and convince something to fall off the plate.

Today, no bbq 😢

But on the cooktop is my take on Savoury Mince. To add to the Worcestershire is some Smokey meat rub,

Sill cooking, but here’s a sneak preview. I’m hoping the potato cubes will cook down to create a thick consistency, I want it seriously thick.

This will end up in toasted sandwiches, and another dish with Rice

No bbq here either, we’re dealing with all that rain you fullas sent us…
Lots of ground cumin and coriander will thicken it at the end if it’s still a bit watery 👍

Bugger. The power’s just gone out.
Looks like bbq is back on the menu!

But first I’d better check if the beer fridge is still cold. Sometimes it needs a lot of checking…

Thanks Andy, reckon it’s thick enough

Bad news about the power, does this mean the speakers at the bbq will be silent?
