BEARS Australia 2025

There’ll be a reality check when you get to the other circuits Red. Enjoy the lovely facilities and enjoy the racing. Hope all you have to do is check tyre pressure and refuel the orange beasts😂. Good luck to you and the team for the weekend.

Looks like a really well set up circuit, Red. Someone put some real dough into it.

On the other side of the BP servo from where Red is there is a new drag strip, pretty flash too.

As I understand it, the guy that owns the race complex also own the BP and the houses to the north of it.

A worker at the BP explained after I mentioned the huge earthworks on the drag strip “We could all build big things, if we were granted government money”

From that, I presume and stand corrected, someone has a hand in government pockets, think the fancy Wagga gun club facility 🤔

1st race delayed by a Helicopter Medivac

When we got on track, ran 2nd behind a F3 bike but passed him on 2nd lap, stayed in the lead until last corner
Matt missed the thumb brake going into the last corner and got passed

2nd outright, 1st in F4 class, missed outright win by 0.23 seconds
Great race between Matt and Terry on the 890 KTM

Mule running great

Lap timer from last race yesterday
Top speed 240 klm/hr, or 149.13 mph when converted
Not too shabby for a 47 year old engine

Hoping to crack 242 today but wind has come up so maybe not

3rd race, 2nd outright, 1st in class

Took 2 more seconds of the lap time, ran 2 minutes, 7.79 seconds, only 2.5 seconds off Matt's best time on the BMW

Top speed 241 klms, or 149.75 mph
Trying hard to crack 150

One race left

I love you are still building faster and faster Laverdas. So impressive, 2 seconds off the latest tech. Love it.

Last race Matt starting to feel the effects of racing F1 and F4 so just bought the Mule home in 2nd outright, 1st in class

Good weekend, driving home with maximum points in the bank for the 1st race meeting of our season

And as far as we can tell, no engine damage, those Slipper clutches have transformed the old clunkers
Super happy with them both

Sounds like all the brainpower and work you've put in is now paying off!

The Bend track is difficult to learn as majority of the corners are blind with some closing in as you enter and some opening up
so you need to learn the track layout and know where you are on the track so you know which blind corner you are entering, this is evident in our lap times

Practice 1, Mule went out with no transponder
Practice 2, we took the back up bike out but its Lithium battery failed on the first lap so no time set, we had a brand new spare
Practice 3, Mule ran 2:17.457, top speed 228 klms/hr
Qualifying, Mule ran 2:13.677, top speed 235 klms/hr

Race 1, Mule ran 2:11.740, top speed 236
Race 2, Mule ran 2:09.063, top speed 238
Race 3, Mule ran 2:07.798, top speed 240, best time of the weekend
Race 4, Matt fairly stuffed by now after doubling up on F1 on the BMW and F4 on the Laverda's, 2:11.485, top speed 238

To drop our times from qualifying to best time in Race 3 by nearly 6 seconds is a sign of the difficulty of riding this track for the first time

The Bend pit area, huge

Congrats guys, how old was the lithium battery red? They seem to fail with no warning. Ones we have here are skyrich, doing some testing with one in the commuter bandit. They don't like vibes.
