Both the Redax Laverda racers have been fired up and checked in the Redax shed.
What a sound! They really spooked the mongrel sleeping possums.

Loading next week for the run down South over the border for the CMRC Australian Classic Motorcycle TT

Wishing all the competitors and teams the very best for the season.

Matt lives to race.
Latest shed news suggests The Guv is racing in the SDRR Series Rd1 meeting this weekend at QLD Raceway on his Aprilla 660 in the Super-Twins.

he only had one race today on the 660cc, won by 0.003 secs across the line, we went to the track to see him and Tina
the passion still burns brightly
Great news, Red. Hadn't heard anything since he was rushed off to the sick house. 0.003s!! That's quite a tight margin! Has the Beemer been replaced or will he be racing three bikes now?!

he cannot race the Aprilia and the Laverda as they would be in the same race, the Aprilia would be an F5 bike and as you know, F3, F4 and F5 race together

Thanks Mark, great day on the dyno yesterday.
Looking forward to getting on the road to Goulburn..

Marty, you should put the spectator cost question to the CMRC FB page.. sure others would like to know also, but it is controlled by One Raceway, not the Club..

See yas at it.

Hi Ian
Just a question to satisfy my curiosity… in pictures of the left side of your bike, above the swingarm pivot is an alloy plate with Swiss cheese holes. What’s that for?

Do you want the sensible answer Chris? The alloy plate is to keep the holes in place. If the plate wasn't there, all those holes would become detached and could end up anywhere. You don't want stray holes getting into unwanted places, like the rear tyre for example.

👍 Explains it perfectly, thanks.

I’m all over the stray hole phenomenon, mostly, but it raises another question:

Given the pictures, I presume cast iron discs don’t retain holes very well compared to aluminium. Some metallurgist will confirm.

I hope Ian never got hurt when his rotors and rotor holes parted way. 😩

Very amusing you lot.. :ROFLMAO:
Holes are in the battery support unit Chris.. all about weight saving in this ultra fine tuned chassis.. ;)

Back on track, first meeting for the year
Weather is a bit suspect, Veloce out twice this morning on wets
Mule last two sessions on slicks

New track for us, first session on wets, 1 min 33 secs
Last session on slicks 1 min 12 secs

Need to get under 10 seconds in the races
