Bike wont rev out....

Lots of talk about 150 being very large. Yet there are a few member saying that they have 145-155 in there bike .
Also my 1200 came with 115 when it was new , ( A11/full air box/ restrictive America exhaust). Now it has 4C/ short stacks and and open meg. Its obviously pumping a LOT more air than it was before. Furthermore , it seems to be closer to Mirage spec at this point. And the Mirage came factory with 145 mains from what I have read. Therefore 150 really does not seem off the mark to me for this setup.

Unless you run a std needle (mentioned K1? K14?) - in which case, as pointed out so many times i've lost count, you can take the main jet out and observe NO difference. You could put 200s in and it won't run any worse o_O

Will let you know when it's out and about..
My 3C has one of Keith Nairns engines with 78mm bore so near 1100 cc, air box and filter with Jota pipes.
Keith recommended jetting between 125 and 130 on the mains which seems in line with a lot of engines out there.

Yes, they are the stock K14 needles in the bike as I said early on.

Short stacks-

NO STACKS - NOTHING AT ALL with the Dellorto VHB 30A's ( A true open mouth racing carb) - Plus they like a rich Main Jet ;o)

A fuel stand off stinker.

Over the years, I learned to love that Carb, especially for it's FAST throttle response. She was never big enough to handle any sort of intake restriction.

Swapped needles over to K1...She runs clean and strong now. I may tinker with the jetting a bit more, but at this point the bike will pull cleanly without hiccup from the bottom all the way past red line. Thanks to everyone for the help.
