Bleedin' Qld Copperrrss..!!

Yeah, but racetracks don't do anywhere.  Round and round and round and round... ::)

Heya Reggie, and you are very right. Living where you do, with those wonderful open roads and very little 'police state' presence..
But some of us poor bastards are stuck with what we have. Maybe I'll just emigrate your way and then I too can enjoy a Sunday blast again.. but in the meantime.. "the wheels on the bus go round and round.." Damn, now I'm acting like Drikko.. :o

Ya Gotta Love Ya Racing... :P

Don't know if they still use it, but,

They had a speed camera hidden in a green wheelie bin at one stage.

Red light camera's have changed my attitude when approaching,  self  preservation!
Rumour has it the time the yellow light stays on is now shorter.

And a while back the pollies were stressing out because the number of speed camera fines were dropping, sooo what do they do, instead of patting us on the back they increase the fines and get more sneaky. guess they had to top up their super.

Not a bad idea really.
I bumped into a guy who lives in Aussie and the UK, he has two houses! When he fancies a change he swaps over and rents the vacant house out.

The cops in Aussie (and NZ apparently) definitely have a nazi-like zeal when it comes to catching errant motorists. How you reverse that is a major challenge.
Luckily they are significantly more laid back around my way.

NSW highway patrol recently lost a case and would be paying costs to the riders. The court ruled the cops in an unmarked suv had entrapped the riders into overtaking across the lines by driving erratically.
I don?t suppose that hells angels need entrapment.

wasn't it a bit like that in n. wales at one time, all because the chief constable wanted to make a name for himself - if you have someone with that sort of mentality at the top it will quickly filter down to the bottom especially with all the arse creepers.

mark is absolutely right about politicians, but somehow we keep voting them in, mostly because they have made sure there are no alternatives

Plenty of groups of 10 or more bikes heading up Mt Glorious this weekend, no change from other weekends, a few more if anything given the luverly weather. I didn't go up there myself to see if there were any more cops than usual. I have put a call into my friend the country walloper to tell me what they have been ordered to do, hopefully hear back from her this week.

is she the lady godiva impersonator in your avatar?

No unfortunately, so her comment was they haven't been given any specific instruction to pick on anyone, motorcyclists or bikies at this stage, however she is no where near the Gold Coast so maybe they have been told differently, she's going to find out.

She also said the best way to avoid police attention was to stick a Ulysses sticker on yer bike and a patch on your jacket, the wallopers luv em apparently, probably because they never get over 90% of the speed limit between cafes. Personally I'd rather be harassed than make it look like I'm a Usillies.....
