Brake pads expert needed

For iron disks at least - When I visited OCT in 2019 Piet fixed me up with some TRW MCB19RQ (which I think are a more street oriented organic pad than he mentioned above) and they have been great! Totally cured the "no brakes in the wet" feature of the Brembo greens I had in there before.
These are what I got for Mr Moose and myself.
Are these what Piet and you are using?
If they dont work then its sintered.

If they dont work then its sintered.
Further armchair research by me suggests that sintered will work with cast iron, but will definitely wear the disk faster, and depending on how aggressive you are, can create enough heat to warp the disk.
Also prone to being noisy 🤔

Well I spent the night last night swapping the blue noisy pads off the Guzzi with the stainless discs, to the black sintered pads from the sf2. They are also VERY noisy! No change there. Tomorrow I will ride the sf2 to work with the blue pads.

Since I bought the RGS nearly 30 years ago I have always used Brembo 485gg pads and never found them wanting, there again I have P09 callipers fitted so don't know if that makes a difference.

Piet, I tried my best, but perhaps not enough: I do not find any pad from Lucas TRW called "kevlar/ceramic racing". Because I need soon new pads for the P4 callipers with stainless discs for race track use, I like to try them. Could you give me a more direct hint, which one it is? :)

Do you know what they are? Platinum sounds like a marketing name. The HH pads on the commuter bandit where Ferodo, but not called Platinum here in Oz.
They are described as an organic pad, they are widely sold here in the UK, whether they are not sold or sold under a different name in Australia I wouldn’t know.

Yes, these are what I supplied Steve with. I use the CRQ compound on stainless discs. CRQ are not TÜV certified for street use here, RQ are.

I'm late back here but per what Piet said and my post on page 1 of this thread, those are what I am using. Work well on the Corsa iron floaters, wet or dry.
Where did you get them @T.C ? I have just fitted new pads to the front of the Bimota and all I had in stock for the 4-spotters was Brembo 'carbon-ceramic'. Not sure yet if they're any good or not, but based on my experience with the TRW pads I would happily use those on the Bim as well so a local source would be useful if they exist.

CRQ = carbon/ceramic. ;) The RQ type are available for most of the 4-potters too, loads of Brembo variants by now. Let me know if you cannot source them, Steve. Postal services seem to be returning to "normal", posting small stuff is still quite inexpensive.

Hi Steve, nothing local Im afraid...
Those poms would hate us Aussies to be able to ride in the rain:unsure::unsure: after all
its what they do most of the time....
Anyhow , ebay is your friend.

Roger that and thanks @T.C . If I have to import anyway, I'd rather deal with someone I can go for a beer with if we find ourselves in the same hemisphere. I'll see how the Brembo CC's go on the 320 iron Bimota disks but will do a restock of TRW ones in various varieties. Incoming order Piet... :D
