Cars and bikes I’ve come across in my travels

I bought this thing a while ago. It's a Zero DS 7.2. Not really a sports bike, more of a commuter with some off-road capability. It is indeed pretty stealthy and bloody quick from a standing start. It's great for nipping around the city but it chews through the battery at highway speed. 80 kph isn't too bad but if you take it up to 110 on the freeway the range is pretty limited.

Range is claimed to be about 150km, but you'd only achieve that in economy mode below about 60kph. Practical range is more like 100km. That's OK for suburban trips though.

My electric scooter is similar: quick off the line, but tops out at 65/70 kph. But it is dead silent, handles well, is very light and I get free battery swapping and charging so it’s a true bargain. I put Pirelli tires and YSS shocks and fork kit as well as a rear rack to hold a top box.

My apartment lets us EV riders plug in for free and battery swapping stations are everywhere all over town and the country at large. I going to try a 400 km trip down the coast road this spring!

Did Norton make combine harvesters the same color as the Laverda ones?
I know this fellow,,,and own a Norton,,,I’m pretty sure this is not a stock color. I’m pretty sure they didn’t make 850 S or SS models with the high pipes, those were 750 models.

This rather nice Moto Guzzi turned up at DIE Kurve! bikers' cafe whilst I was waiting for friends to arrive. Unfortunately I was unable to chat with the owner but some of the detail was lovely.

Tried my best to get better pics of this oldie, but it’s kinda illegal to use a smart phone while driving.

I was overtaken by the oldest BMW adventure type bike I’ve seen this week. (I pondered if it may have been the first after Laverda prototype)

By the time I got my phone out, while driving a roadtrain, it was merely a spec in the distance. ☹️
