Club Laverda NSW 2025 Snowy Rally

Found a great breaky cafe in Murray bridge, run up to the national motor museum, definitely worth the visit, lots of interesting stuff. Cars and bikes. Did a loop this afternoon and found a heap of twisties, hardly any traffic, and haven't seen any constabulary yet, although trying to behave. I've added the locations we passed through this Arvo to the itinerary, just in case anybody wants to do the run. Back to the pub, and Ian and Donna have flown in from Sydney just to catch up with us! Wolf Blass wine tasting, which was excellent, then the German restaurant, which was average, didn't even have any wheat beer! Whilst we are out hooning around tomorrow, Ian and Donna are going to sort a better dinner spot, I'm sure we'll be hungry!

Today started off badly with an altercation with a petrol bower, wrecked a screen and fairing, and cracked the stator cover. Bummer. Wiped off the cover and put some epoxy on the crack , but it is weeping. Ian and Terry arrived for our ride, which was awesome. Terry has lent me his stator cover off the yellow peril, so I will fit that in the morning to get home without getting a right boot full of oil.

The run out to Swan Reach was fabulous, thanks again Ian and Terry, great to catch up.

Bummer, Marty. Very handy having the yellow peril available as a temp donor. On the High Country Ride Phil Ps Jota cover was patched up with incontinence pads and copious wraps of duct tape - another petrol station incident.
 
They help so much, Air Hawk that is. I run mine reversed; the issue I have is mostly inner thighs. I had my touring seat reupholstered ages ago by John Moorehouse of Uro Seats, and it is much nicer with more padding and slightly wider, expecting more comfort on 500k plus days, and it is more comfortable, but when riding at above 4500 rpm, the vibrations would still affect me. Before this ride, I did some internal clutch cover work requiring the removal of my clutch cable. Lazy me just nipped the clutch lower adjuster lock nut finger tight. Approx 100ks later, I started losing clutch freeplay, so I started winding on the upper adjuster, which needed repeating 5 or 6 times till we stopped for Breakfast. That finger-tight lower locknut had worked loose and unwound, allowing the main adjuster to completely back out. SURE, Laverdas don't vibrate. BTW, you won't see any pics of me on the ride, I headed home after 2 days., I was struggling with my physical condition, that's what happens when you miss just about all riding for ages.

Came to Melbourne from Batemans Bay today…. blowing arseholes is an understatement! Went to jump out at Cann River and near ripped the truck door off!
 
Back in radio service, no signal at tatong. Took the freeway to avoid Geelong(sorry Maurice), then a nice run through to Lancefield for lunch. Back way past Broady saw us pulling up at tatong tavern way after beer o'clock.

Did a bit of dirt this morning to get down to king valley, top little fang up to Whitfield for brekky. Nice run up to tallangata for lunch, now we're off to walwa/granya and khancoben tonight. See ya Victoria and your sneaky bloody speed cameras........
