Cool Videos

Quite possibly the best looking of all the 500 GP two strokes ?

Agostini gets a soaking ....... again ..........

Recent Kocinski quote regarding riding the two stroke 500`s ........ " You`ll get tired long before it gets tired .......... " .................

Have to watch via YouTube for some reason .............

Interesting how the old Brit bikes make it look easy..

....... and got their fair share of applause ..... ( along with the C90`s ! ) ...........

Which would be the Laverda weapon of choice ......... Atlas ; Chott ; LH ; 125/150 Trail ? .......... or a 3C fitted with Renthals and knobblies ? ....... ;) ..........

BTW .... at 10:30 ........ BMW GS nil , Honda Transalp 1 ...........

Bob whatshisface, long-time Laverda off-road bloke, I think, was using an Atlas, a horrible idea to me, way too heavy, plus top-heavy with it. I think he went Chott in the end. The modern long-travel suspension bikes looked faster, but speed isn't the point. I liked seeing some seat sitters suckseeded. It to me was interesting to me to see which body position was the most smooth and successful. Did I see a Sidecar with all the bells and whistles, XT 500 Yamaha, leading link fork ect struggle? I think they're all limited to Trials tyres, not full knobbies, but even so, it gets sloppy after multiple bikes proceed. Great bit of Vidio. I am a fan of MT43 Pirellis. They would work great on that.

FYI Vince I sold him my LH3 125 a couple of years ago, but the Regolarito is the route he’s heading down now.

Beep Beep !

Barry Sheene disliked the IoM TT , but he didn`t seem to mind riding here .........

Northern fans were`nt always impressed though , thinking he just came up for easy money ........ Mick Grant said he was always reluctant to travel in the open car for a victory lap with him in case he got hit by something aimed at Barry ...........

I was a frequent spectator at Olivers Mount in the 80s and 90s - a cracking circuit in a great location.
Barry Sheene was a regular and in the breaks between races he would happily jump on a scooter, ride out of the paddock and then prop it against the fence and have a chat with the crowd. I've still got my autographed programme.
Happy days....🏍😎

I like how McGuinness says about the SP-1 at the end ........

" Bit of a boring bike to ride on the track ..... it`s an old 20 year old thing ..... s`alright , did it`s job ... ! .............

Fangs for the memories ...........

You can Count on two Laverdas to leave an Impression .......... lets hope they don`t get a Puncture in this Neck of the woods ...... or a flat (Bat)tery ....... you don`t want to be Coffin up for any unnecessary repairs ........ No Reflection on the town itself of course ...... just to Drive the Point home , let`s hope they don`t get too Cross about it ........ although I Wooden like to Stake any claim to the contrary .................

( I`m working my ass off here folks ......... ) .............

Anyway , it`s just Dawned on me It`s Time To Go ............ I`ll get me Cloak ............

150?
Paul

125 or 150 ...... Laverda or Garelli or American Eagle ...... the choice is yours .........

Did Garelli / American Rex Corporation and Moto Laverda do a deal behind Jack McCormacks back ? .........

........and did Moto Laverda enter into this arrangement ( hedging their bets ) in the hope that the Garelli name might prove to be a better marketing tool in the USA than either American Eagle or , for that matter , Laverda ? .............
