Dellorto PHB 36

PHB ( not PHBE)
I've been looking for a pair for 4 years. Found one, a sinister one.

I'd also need a pair of long grey plastic intake trumpets.  :D

Paul

Hi Paul,

I have a set of plastic intake trumpets from my long lasting SF2 project. I intend to put on the shiny aluminium trumpets, so if no better shows up, you can have mine as a donation for your SFC (if that is what you need them for).

Sorry about the distorted image - the attachment came out better.

As discussed recently with my 82-year-old left-handed uncle who was corrected via rulers being hit over his knucks to fix his Devil controlled left-handedness by the God-fearing Nuns who tought him at school 70 years ago. That would be my guess.

I very gratefully accept Arne.

My SFC is presently in Luxemburg with a nice set of shiny metal intake trumpets. It's never been so near. In 2 weeks, it'll be 4 years since it was incinerated.

Paul

PS; If you need a part, please let me know.

Only happy to contribute to the resurection of your SFC - must be special moment for you to see it finish after all you have gone through.

Maybe you can help me; I have broken my speedo drive gear housing in the fron wheel axel (don't ask me how  >:() so I need a new one if they are available, and also the 9-teeth gear spindle, since the teeth has been chewed off. I'm not looking for at direct swop since the gear housing might be more valuable, but let me hear if you are able help me out.

Also, PM your address so I can send you the trumpets.

Wasn't just your uncle who had left-handedness beat out of him. It happened to me too when I first started school in 1956. I was told it was bad manners to write with my left hand. Lousy old battle-axe of a teacher was called Miss Smythe, and she is burned into my memory for all the wrong reasons. She seemed ancient to me as a 5 year old, but was probably about 60. She would sneak up behind me and belt me around the head if she saw me using my left hand. She often used a heavy book as a weapon. I vividly recall that on one occasion she had nothing to hand to hit me with so she took off her shoe and used that.

Paradoxically, the school I attended was founded by Quakers who preach tolerance and non-violence. But that old cow would visit violence on little children for all sorts of idiotic reasons.

Miss Smythe's "treatment" of my sinister behaviour worked. I now write with my right hand. I do a heap of other stuff left handed though.

This is so odd, comparitfy well educated teachers with no evidence other than FEELINGS doing this stuff.Have we moved past this type of insanity, probably not and especially in these dark times of conspiracies everywhere you look, quite a lot deliberately engineered to do long term harm.

from the age of seven to twelve years old I was regularly caned by a head teacher, at a school my parents were paying good money for me to attend and to supposedly get a "better" education and this was always  for very little or minor reasons, (I could see later that he was enjoying inflicting serious pain and wounds) what they did not investigate, is that in most cases, my crime for punishment was due entirely to my dyslexia, which had not been diagnosed at that time, this caused my father to take me out of the school and put me in state education, where I do believe it is fair to say I excelled, and finished in my last year as head boy, although finished is a term that I could go into depth about, because before the year ended I chose to leave, that's another story. I still hate the cunt and presume he is dead, I would have enjoyed bumping into him, once I was about seventeen or older, it might not have been a pretty sight.

In my youth, the thing that took the biggest beating due to a teacher was my dick, from my right hand. I was hopelessly smitten with art teacher Miss Roberts. She was wonderful, utterly beautiful, perfection. I can't still visualize her 40+ years later and she established my lifelong love of tight sweaters. Happy days.

There were plenty of examples of physical violence from teacher to pupil in our school. The closet I got was a bloody nose when physics teacher whacked my face on the desk. What attracts these wankers to be a teachers... oh, yeah...

Anyway, back to carbies, eh

Cheeseboard? Posh school  ;)  I hope it was soft ripe Camembert rather than rock hard Parmigiano-Reggiano...

They use to leather 10 bells of shit out of us, probably deserved some of it but not all.
Whats the saying no good crying over spilt milk.
Regards Andy 😁

Leather strap was still in full use when I attended primary school.  Usually across the palm of your hand, to pull it back would mean an extra cut. ::)  Head master was a bastard, he strapped lengthwise, sometimes half-way up the arm.

Our teachers placed a towel over the wrists so that it didn't mark above the hand, but it bloody hurt.
