Hot water is for washing face to soften beard, Cold water is for wet shaving- if you use hot water to shave the blade expands and becomes thicker- therefore not as sharp. Rinse face with cold to close pores in skin.
How the fuck can you do that with some pissy arse foreign multi tap spitting unpotable luke warm water into the basin , Eh?
 
If you have Callipers mounted behind the legs, you need to fiddle about to make sure the legs are free, (up and down, as in, bounce the thing up and down against a solid object, not! the brakes) make sure the disc runs centrally in the Calliper, (this starts the pain in the butt bit) and machine a shim for the r/h offside if you are British, to make all this come to fruition. It is a right royal pain in the arse to be frank, for no other reason than aessthetics or anality, but as in most things used in and on our old clunkers, nowt is flat or straight.

said I the day after.....I beg to differ McStrap, the washer is sunk into the alloy speedo housing and takes the end load of the shouldered spindle, spreading the clamping effect, without it the speedo gearbox would become damaged rapidly, there should be a gap of about 2 or 3 mm between the fork leg and the speedo gearbox if your legs are parallel and straight, the last thing to tighten when assembling this area is the two pinch clamps on the right hand leg (stock caliper set up) and only once the legs have been settled, the disc caliper can often influence this especially if callipper adapters are used, so best done with the right calliper off its mount and clear of the disc.

Cheers Clem, I had to find a used gearbox housing as the old one was cracked and distorted so much so the teeth on the gear ring had completely worn away on the outer half of the circumference. What I didn’t want to do was repeat the same issue if indeed an additional washer other than the steel insert was required.

And if we`re talking Laverda , then right / left has gotta be dexter / sinister , surely ......... although if you`re viewing heraldic markings on a shield from the front ( opposing side ) , then it would be the other way round ......dexter would be on the left , and sinister on the right .... ) ......

It is the same when reading an X-ray, the left lung is always on the right of the screen (anterior view) when viewing.

I was just pointing out to a pommy (Aussie for twenty years, still a Pom) mate of his new bathroom. He fucked up with the hot and cold taps.

To turn on either tap, you have to reach to the back wall, get your arm cold and wet while waiting for the hot to come through, then step under the shower and the waters too hot to reach the hot tap to reduce the flow.

I’m not a plumber, but FFS, put the taps on the side wall, not back wall.

What say you Hooksey?
 
In the US the procedure is to mark both limbs with indelible marker in consultation with the patient before surgery. “Cut this one” “do not cut”. Despite this mistakes still happen.
 
get a thermostatic shower ftting then all you have to do is turn it on, wait 3 seconds for the hot to come through and "voila" your desired pre set temperature, and why do plumbers install the fitting on the centre line of the cubicle (I never did if permitted) so that the hose drapes over it, install to the entry side, no cold arms, and no hose clanking on the fitting, but the simplest thing of all and very often forgotten is that the tiling must be completed before the encloure is installed, this means it is fitted IN FRONT of the tiles and not directly to the wall, and much less chance of leaks i.e. about 4000% better, fitting the enclosure and then installing tiles "inside it", is a sure fire way to get water coming through the ceiling downstairs.
