Front wheel assembly.

In our travels we have stayed at over 50 AirB&Bs and dozens of hotels and many have had that type of temperature compensating valve that is supposed to maintain a constant temperature. I also know that many do not work or have failed! It’s not uncommon to have the temp or pressure fluctuate constantly as a failing or faulty valve hunts the temp.
Give me the old fashioned type that lets me regulate the temperature manually any day!
 
On a Ski trip to Park City in Utar I missed having a shower in a bloody expensive Hotel Room, I couldn't work out how to work the taps in the Shower. It only would fill the half bathtub. The multifunction tap did my poor brain in.

To turn on either tap, you have to reach to the back wall, get your arm cold and wet while waiting for the hot to come through, then step under the shower and the waters too hot to reach the hot tap to reduce the flow.

I’m not a plumber, but FFS, put the taps on the side wall, not back wall.

I'm with you all the way CK.........common sense would say that! But there ain't many with that these days! :oops:
No regulation as such and some people just like what they have been use to all their lives.

Back in the day suppliers made what they called "A Trombone Breech" which was set in the wall and gave you that exact set up that your pommy mate has...........we moved on 25 years ago........well some of us have :ROFLMAO:

With the shield markings , they were always set out from the perspective of the bearer , ( the guy hiding behind it ) .......... meanwhile the chap charging towards you with an axe in his hand wouldn`t worry too much about his opponents shield was telling him , he was just going to chop away at anything that was available .........
 
your wrong Alazero the fluctuating temperature and pressure of an auto controling shower is (almost always) a result of poor plumbing design or instalation else where in the building, it should be so, that when a shower is working, and other water usage takes place in the building that no alteration to the temp you have set will happen, this obviously costs more, (bigger bore pipes/ pumps/ controls etc) it is common in houses as well, even if there is only one bathroom, you are taking a shower anfd the hot tap is used in the kitchen, equals..... almost instant cold shower, just crap design and instalation, (see Homer Simpson cartoon) very rarely is there anything wrong with the shower fitting. Hotels are the worst places, because they are tight bastards and regularly get it wrong, I was once in the shower (Harrys bar, France near Limoges) and as I was on the top floor of three, the shower was not that powerfull but OK (already a bad sign) as my friends all got themsleves into the shower elswhere in the hotel my one totally stopped, yes it ran dry, how crap is that, the daft thing is I came out all soapy and didnt turn off the fitting, for ten hours the shower was running until I returned later that day and the owener could not understand why the water boilers would not build up any temperature or pressure, I never told him what I found, serves him right.

When I had my artificial knee joint installed, I wrote on them with indelible marker "This knee" on the correct one, and "the other knee" on the wrong one before I went to the hospital. The surgeon had a bit of a chuckle at my markings before making a bunch of his own incision drawings on the (correct) knee.
