Future for Zane bikes?

In trials that make sense, 100% toque right off idle. Battery weight not so good. Although I bet a trial course would be lucky to be 20ks, who knows? The German Ebike tourer and blogger I follow, Marc Travels on YouTube, is now doing the whole length of Africa. It should get interesting.

Re electric Zane, I'm pretty sure that one of the very first of the bikes which competed in the fledgling TT-Zero class at IoM was based on a Zane chassis. It might have been from that Uni in the UK that has close ties to bike racing (cant remember the one). Andy will probably remember?
The remains of the same bike are in Scrumpy's shed....

I think there was an engineer of the town where I live today, Kassel, who made an electric racebike based on a Zane, 650 Formula and went to IOM 2009. The becme 2nd in the TTXGP class. Later he and his team made the Münch electric racebike and won the title TTXGP 2012 with the rider Matthias Himmelmann. German ex 250 GP rider Katja Poensgen became 2nd on the sister bike.
