How do you tell a real factory built Jota?

I’ve re-read all the postings, scanned the internet and can find no definitive answer about my bike.
One last look before I sell it as “unknown Italian triple” and whoaaaa
It’s got Jota written on the side panels

Problem solved

Excellent, its now official
My wasted spark system confirms my bike is a Jota

or does it ………..

is it really a wasted spark system ?
we’re all Jotas fitted with a wasted spark system ?
if so was it a factory fitted option ?
if not was it only Slater who fitted them ?
if it is not a wasted spark what bike do I have ?

there‘s me thinking I cracked the wasted spark question only to find your comment has raised even more questions
going to sell my wasted spark Jota, will advertise it as unknown Italian triple, and buy a Triumph

confused of Henley
your Jota is a wasted spark system, ignition is on the crankshaft no matter what ignition system it is so has to be wasted spark as the crank is running at twice the speed as the cams

all Laverda triples no matter what version they were came from the factory with a wasted spark set up, because they all had crank triggered ignitions

Laverda factory fitted the system, from Bosch, it evolved over the years the bikes were produced but the common element of every upgrade was that they were all wasted spark

Slaters had nothing to do with the ignition system, they changed cams, pistons and exhausts to make the Jota, did not touch the ignition

As to what bike you have, you have a Laverda triple running a wasted spark ignition system no matter what model or year it is and surely you can understand that now, plenty of owners have already stated that

Dunno about factory built Jotas but if your`e into Slater-spec Jotas you could always add to your list (for the full on Slater race spec)
SFC yokes (may have been mentioned)
Large diameter collector box (has been mentioned)
Close ratio gearbox (optional layshaft I believe)
Thin web alloy wheels (for that essential period look)

And finally, but not least, the adjustable bars set in a position that would have caused even Jarno Saarinen some discomfort. (Ref.his Arwidson entered Yamahas)
