ignore DGM number, (that is the homologation number) the chassis number is not stamped between the stars with any digits, this is how frames as a "spare part" where sent out by the factory and stocked by distributors, with the assumption the original frame number would be stamped by whoever was repairing the badly damaged bike, and the buggered chassis then cut up for scrap. This is not always the case, hence there are several bikes around of any engine size that have identical chassis numbers, LAV.1000*1012* for example and SFC 5699 one of that pair owned by Marnix.
Didnt all triples get the 1200 chassis at some point? so it might not be wrong, but just a replacement, the chassis where always cheap, if you ask me, maybe to encourage replacement if there was any doubt, I bet Oro still has his top shelf stacked with new ones.
