When I was 5 I took off the cardboard back of the television set to see what the people on TV looked like from behind.

Ha ha. Me too. Although I would have been a year or two older (there was no TV in Tasmania when I was 5). I was old enough to know that there weren't little people in there, but I wanted to know what made it work.

criteria were: quality, minimal size, chrome rather than black as bike has more chrome visible than black and retro shape, more in keeping with the age of the bike. keep you posted on how they look and work

I once had a roadworthy inspector fail my bike because I had little indicators like that. He said they were too small.
I had to go home, download and print the relevant pages of the compliance rules for indicators, then go back and shove it under his nose to show that there is no size requirement. After which he grudgingly ticked it off as compliant.
