Typical advertisement of the 60's and 70's. Women draped over things that really have no relevance to the item being advertised.
I remember advertisements for things like power tools being wielded by scantily clad women. Don't get me wrong. I like an attractive woman as much as the next bloke, but those types of ad always seemed really silly to me. The chainsaw ad below being a typical example. How often do you see a woman in a bikini operating a chainsaw? Not to mention the lousy workplace safety message.
How dumb do advertisers think guys are? Surely nobody would get sucked into buying something just because the ad features a hot woman.

I have a Stihl chainsaw too. But I chose it on the relative merits of the chainsaw. Not because I saw an ad with a girl in it.
