I remember advertisements for things like power tools being wielded by scantily clad women. Don't get me wrong. I like an attractive woman as much as the next bloke, but those types of ad always seemed really silly to me. The chainsaw ad below being a typical example. How often do you see a woman in a bikini operating a chainsaw? Not to mention the lousy workplace safety message.
How dumb do advertisers think guys are? Surely nobody would get sucked into buying something just because the ad features a hot woman.

Ah, come on Cam, she is wearing cut-proof chaps!  Not to forget, those old saws did vibrate a fair bit, the advertised product might have been put to another use than felling trees and cutting logs.    Just as the Norton Commando ads of the 70's, hot chicks on throbbing (everybody knows Commandos don't vibrate!) bikes, got to be a connection somewhere.  Maybe the advertising industry was targeting the female population, and we were too dumb to recognise it!  ::)

Because the stupid heart pills he is on keeps his ticker strong,
but not his libido. :(

He used to look at women wondering what they were like in bed, now he looks to see if they look like the type that could cook nice scones :'(

Girls ride too (but the centre stand kinda gives it away).

I'm all for eye catching advertising but having spent some time in the industry I know how fake and mis-represented many (most) products are.
 
I think her clothing choice could be attributed to the  hot humid day in the forrest she is clearly working in.
I too use Stihl. The girl at the still shop was very good at her job on the day I was there, I walked out with 2 chainsaws, 2 brush cutters, a hedge trimmer and a leaf blower, I wonder if there is something behind pretty girls selling stuff. Or I just have a mongrel of a garden that needed taming
 
I?ve got a McCullough in the shed that I bought ages ago. I?m am still waiting for a pretty women to come round and show me how to us it.  ;)
As for the ads I guess #15 gets my top vote too.

Adam got Eve a beauty with his chainsaw, right between the legs.

Adam was having a few beers with God after work and apologised, he said it was an accident.  :-[

God said, bloody good shot though Adam ;) you got her right in the c%nt.

that ad is just fabulous, leaving the stilly on as well, even better
but as far as chainsaws go I am a Husqvarna man, 18" for all the normal stuff and a 32" for proper jobs, both of then 30 years old and still (Shtill?) going strong, both in fairly low use retirment now, but at one time (pre gas to the house) I was burning approx 18 tonnes of wood annually.

I find huskys are all about revs and the stihl is about torque. I have a 20" Stihl MS390 for general stuff and a 42" Stihl 090 for my larger logs.
Also have a 14" Husky that I wish was a Stihl for small branches. I also have several bars of various lengths for the 090 depending on what I'm cutting.
I've never seen any hot chicks play with chainsaws.

Street Racing in Toronto in the mid 70's with my 70 SF0 - I encountered a Suzuki 650 crotch rocket that was winning everything light to light.

Followed that ride to the home stable at 4 AM and knocked on the door. A slight 100lb Chinese Girl (Still in her leathers) opened it and brushed me off as an Irish Leprechaun ;o(

The point is that she could not loose me and I would challenge her but not to extreme.

You've never known Love unless you have Lost considering I still had another 800 miles of night riding to get home in Northern Ontario ;o)

Man that Girl could ride a Bike !

As far a winning street races light to light city block in Toronto with 70 Breganzie 750 SFO = 1st Gear at 7500+ rpm = 75+ MPH Doesn't mean I could not do 110mph in the quarter or over 120 mph where ever I roamed.

I'm still amazed how Breganzie produced them 2 little 4 stroke pistons to packed so much power back in 1970.
