motogp (where's Tina?)

Thanks Cam,

NY - I did have another thought 'if this is the big apple then it must be rotten!'.

Still, I am glad they have cleaned it up, it would have ranked No.1 as the most unfriendly place I ever visited, no-wanted to know anything about anything unless I was buying.
I was mugged by a woman in the street, but I managed to un-mug myself after realising that her amorous physical advances had relieved me of my wallet.

It certainly must have been a massive task to clean it up (just Manhatten I presume?). Given the rave reviews I will make a return journey and check it out. Sounds much better.

Errrr MotoGP. Looking forward to the next one.

The tech 3 team started this weekend off on fire! Literally, someone left a lithium battery for a motorcycle starter engine on charge overnight which caught fire. Thankfully the sprinklers stopped the bikes from being damaged, but the equipment, servers and computers have been ruined inside. The Cardion AB team and LCR honda were also affected as their sprinklers went off too.

After the first free practice session all the riders are complaining of a lack of grip, comparing riding there to riding in the rain.

So Marc is the youngest rider to ever be on pole in the top class, beating Freddie Spencers record. Can he beat the youngest ever race win record too??
Another guy breaking records is Scott Redding, he is the youngest ever british rider to have a pole in the intermediate-class of motogp, taking the record away from Mike Hailwood.

This circuit has definetely defined itself as a Honda circuit, im expecting to see them fly away on that long straight at Austin.

At 20 years and 66 days old, Marc Marquez now holds the record for youngest gp win after winning a remarkably boring race.

Pedrosa complained of pain in his arm, and rossi of front end problems. Bradl and Cal did an exceptional job, heres to seeing them on the podium soon.
The next 5 upcoming racetracks favour the Yamahas, so Lorenzo isnt too worried.

Doubt Lorenzo is too worried but I'd say that roundabout now Pedrosa is starting to realize that he is never going to win a MotoGP world championship.
Marquez was exceptional, followed Pedrosa for 18 laps (approx), passed him cleanly and then just upped the pace enough to unsettle Pedrosa, race won.
Honda must be as happy as a dog with two dicks finding a Stoner like talent so soon, awesome display of raw talent.

How much further can these guys get off these bikes, Stoner was a regular at scrapping his elbow, Marquez is doing it nearly every damn corner  :o

boring ??  that MotoGP race was boring ??
once again i don't understand, i am from da canefields, i must 'av been watching a different race!  ???

Not a bad race at all I thought, that young lad's got some talent eh?  And our gruff northerner brought it home just behind Lorenzo and in front of heaps of better equipment.  Yamaha, give him more goodies!  Amazing facility those Texicans got too.

I'm with you Mark. Great race. I think Dani is going to see a lot of Marco this season....well at least he'll see his arse.

Great to see some line options in the corners leading to some decent tussles in the early stages.
Marquez does seem to travel beside his bike in some of the tighter corners then feed the power in early,
maybe that's how he gets such good drive out. I found watching Pedrosa and Marquez formation flying
incredible, as what I would have thought extreme was repeated corner after corner.

Crutchlow seems to have a real point to prove and did fantastically well for a customer bike.
As they used to say "It's not about the size of the dog in the fight, it's about the size of the fight in the dog".

Marquez says that dragging his elbow on the grownd is how he knows where his limit is
