May I suggest to install an oil pan under the engine and a 200 L barrel above the engine? Else you will run into issues when you start that particular engine very soon...

Oh - and don't be surprised if it won't start, I assume there are some cams missing...  :D :D :D    :D :D :D

Honestly: great work! Is it built to take f.e. a bike by removing the rear wheel and putting the chain over the chain wheel of the dyno or do you have to take the engine out for that?

Hey Red

If any of those sets of carbs fall on the floor then send them to me. I mean, they'll be all dirty and scratched by then so, as a favour, I'll take them off your hands  .

Joking aside, looking great and hope it all works as you intended mate (goodjob)

Definitely an engine out only rig.

that's how it looked to me, too. Was just wondering if it wouldn't have been the better idea to make a rig where you can mount either a "supporting frame" or a complete bike in. On the other hand, 90% of what Red does requires the engine to be taken out anyway, so...

95% of my work involves bare engines
when someone sends me a motor that is all I want, I am not too interested in getting complete bikes
take up too much room

next photos will be tomorrow, did a fair bit today but my even newer workshop toy arrived today so sat around it drinking beer looking at it

hours and hours of fun in your future there Red!  :P

beer time tonight
started laying out the sensors, MAP sensor panel mounted, Crankcase pressure transducer on the same plate
Drikko coming over Tuesday night to start wiring it up so mounted Starter Relay, Regulator, 1 x Kill Switch, Battery, Battery Isolator
Lamba sensors are mounted in the header pipes, will do EGT sensors tomorrow
moved the damn fan again, is going to lose some airflow from the front mounted control panel so plan on mounting a second fan underneath in the main frame
mocking up the position of the main Sensor Interface panel

and the new toy, Superflow Flowbench, be a few weeks before we have time to set this up and make the plates needed to suit a Laverda head

I like the fact that the Superflow thingys model number is SF-!20 hahahaha, must have been a difficult decision between that and the SF-180  :D :D :D :D

Very cool indeed!

indeed, is going to be great
I bought it off my mate that does my valve seats for me, he concentrates on Harley's and has even more engines to repair then I do on the Laverda front
he has been machining up his own throttle bodies and doing extensive porting work on the 4 valve Harley heads, massive ports, just about put your hand down inside them
needed to go to a larger bench to get more airflow so upgraded to a SF-450, sold me the 120 which has had all the latest upgrades from Superflow, even had their rep out here doing the upgrades and calibrations on it
best part for me is that his experience is right there for me, only lives 3 minutes from our place and he is keen as to see the Dyno up and running so he can test some Harley engines

What'll they think of next? Overhead cams, unit construction or maybe even liquid cooling ...

Been on the market for quite some time.  Was directly derived from the VR1000 racer. :D
