NICE ‘JOTA’ MATE !

If you say so. Will be on the IOM 24th - 31st May for the Pre TT Classic Meet. Are you competing ?
It was my intention to make an entry but unfortunately I’m probably going to miss most of the first half of the season due to a number of reasons including a recent family bereavement. With luck I will be taking a run out at the Southern 100 in July.

I have had two Jaramas, my present one and one back in the 1980’s. As well as the LHS gearchange and side reflectors I think the original batch to the USA had black fork sliders. Most of the ones brought to the UK have lost the side reflectors, reverted to RHS gearchange and the sliders are now polished alloy. My present Jarama 5922 was manufactured as a 3CL in September 1977 and was one of 200 sent to the States that year badged up as a Jarama. 110 of these were brought unsold from the States to the UK by Slater Bros. in early 1979. Mine was allocated to dealers Murrays of Haverhill where it was first registered on 9th April 1979. At some point before my ownership it has had Jota silencers and 4C cams fitted.
Shrinking market already for Laverda.
They should never have stopped the 750s.

Sorry to hear that. Hopefully may bump into some other Laverdas over there.

Typical, heading home 31st May. Got a lovely big place for a week close to the beach at Kirkmichael. Not been to TT week since 1981. Just go to the Manx last 20 years or so. Also had family holidays there at various times of the year when ferries and accommodation are cheaper. Beautiful and varied island with lots of non motorcycle related things to do.

Damned clever the Spanish, top notch band "Broken Peach", Efren Lopez and associated female and male performers ( read, Mind numbing Brilliant ), any wonder their themes are adapted/stolen. j.
