OK - we're back. Sort of!

Yep... quick and easy to re-upload or replace your avatar photo. Existing images were imported in their original size which can't be tweaked /repositioned
No worries .... either I leave it as some unintelligible blur ..... or find something new.

Thank you for the new forum. It works well and is straightforward too! I like that we can now rename a hyperlink so if a url has 16,000 characters we can condense it to something readable.

Things that you'll find a bit different...

1. If you changed your login name to a different display name on the old forum, you'll need to do the same thing here. When you do that, YOUR LOGIN NAME WILL HAVE BEEN CHANGED TOO. So you'll need to use your 'new' name for logging in going forward.

2. Personal messages are now called 'Conversations' and are accessed using the little envelope icon up by your username

3. Smileys will not all have been converted across to the new forum.

4. I hoped that old forum links will link through to this new forum. The script hasn't worked. I need more time to investigate...

More after I've had lunch...
Well done that Man, time for lunch as well! Something different looks like it will be interesting . Cheers Andy

Your shout - not sure how it will appear, but attached is what you uploaded to SMFavatar_2881_1456710444.jpeg

seems some external links have not been migrated. f.e. my pics in this message: https://www.laverdaforum.com/xf/threads/100330/page-15#post-463097

as old threads get referenced quite often, it would be great if this would be fixable, please?

Else - a totally new experience. Have to get used to it, but it looks a lot more "facebook-alike" now... (please decide yourself if this is a positive or negative comment... ๐Ÿ˜˜)

Great work Rob - very smooth transition, a fresh new look, and looks like plenty of new functionality to explore. Congrats!

Like all change, it comes with a tinge of sadness... I will wistfully remember the 'good old days' of neverending instructions on how to post an image...

Can we still access all the old emoji's? I don't see them yet.
Not easily Jim. The old emojis comprise gif files that would need to be individually coded to be used here, and checked for uniqueness. Sorry, but I'm not volunteering for that!

Nooo!! Hopefully those days are over.

Thanks Steve - it's taken me a couple of weeks to start getting my head round things but there's not a lot else to do safely here in the UK at the moment.

Good work Rob. I figured that with a new forum I'd also upload a new avatar photo.

BTW, is there any way to display the latest posts at the top? I couldn't find that option in the account settings.
