Sadly not, Cam. I found the lack of that option painful. It can be mitigated by clicking on the right hand side time/user details in the thread listing. This takes you to the latest post. The same can be done using the times (nn minutes ago) after clicking on to the 'What's New' menu tab at the top of the screenclick to go to latest post.jpg
 
Thank you gentlemen, it may take me a little while to get used to the new format but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it eventually.

Was not on the Forum for a week or so and I signed on and thought the Qanon forces had invaded the Forum after they took over the US Capital Bldg. Not sure what caused the change but it looks good and I really appreciate the work done to update it, and that no one is bitching that it is not the same.
 
What the heck! You go away for 10 years and someone moves all the furniture about. Looks great by the way - nicely done!
 
Well, Rob, certainly looks and feels different - I suspect that you have had to spend many, many hours getting this all up together so a big thanks for that. Let's hope the many hours spent do not come back to haunt you.............!!? :eek:

For those struggling (like me) because they are missing their old favorite 'recent unread topics' shortcut, the best I've found so far is to have a shortcut stored to.... https://www.laverdaforum.com/xf/whats-new/latest-activity anyone got something better?
 
I have been away for a while and WOW! What a difference!
Certainly looks modern and all that funky stuff.
I notice I am still the 12th highest contributer as well, which surprised me!

Sorry but animated gifs are not currently supported. I've asked the webhosting company to see if the necessary application and package can be installed. I'll let you know asap
