Thanks guys, its been a total joy from start to finish, seat unit is from a RCB 1000 Quentin, got that idea from the Cascade 750, and the M1R;s are still here, if you have a use let me know, they haven't disappeared down a worm hole:)

Nice job Tom. A little reminiscent of the RGS based special I built a few years ago, although you've done a nicer job. Looks like the same Boba tank.

One of the reasons I sold mine (apart from my bank account needing a top-up) was that by the time I finished building it, the ergonomics of such a bike were getting a bit uncomfortable for my old bones. It was great for thrashing around a track though.
 
Nice upper fairing mount, where have I seen that before. One day in the future we might see and hear it and others on a ride. HOPEFULLY. Looks smick as Tom
 
Yum, Peit's race bike colour. Fuuny tank, old style SFC front, but later back half ... curious.

Reckon that'll be going to Breganze in 2024.

Nah, I don't need them, Tom - just mentioned cos I thought they were destined for your 1200 spesh. I'm moving stuff from my overcluttered workshop to another smaller (overcluttered!) part of the space - so much crap accumulated over the last 35+ years!! and I've got 4 sets of forks and only 2 bikes that need them - nothing Italian to spare, a Honda 41mm VFR and Suzuki GSX-R 41mm. Once I have a rideable bike I'm gonna flog as much stuff as I can - it's become ridiculous.
 
PS Great choice that seat. I've perservered with a modified SFC one - in hindsight probably should have shaped and moulded up my own from scratch.

went into lockdown when I got the bike back from Red and here we are again at the completion.
Anyway.... as you can imagine there was no hiding my smile yesterday, bloody hell Red you build a sensational engine!!

As always theres still a bit to do but so far Im pretty happy, Many thanks to all who have helped out with ideas and encouragement, most notably, Red and Max and the team up there in the Redax rainforest, Takashi Iwamoto for his inspirational 750, and many others, if you see something that looks familiar its cause it is...

I often wonder where Takashi Iwamoto , went to , he seems to have not done any more bikes.

Damn but your 1200 is really very nice onya
