RGS Executive project available in spring of 2026

I guess that will be a really good deal for whoever ends up with the bike, same as the SFC1000 that sold at Bonhams. However, what many would consider bargain prices will hopefully mean they become riders' bikes and not just accumulate dust in someone's collection.

It's a fair deal if the buyer is local.

I have also listed the bike on CL in Los Angeles and San Francisco at $3500 or best offer. There is much interest, but no firm offers yet. I am trying to be as transparent as possible to all involved, but I also would like to get the best price possible.

With all understanding & due respect if you have a firm $3750 offer why would you run an advert for $3500?

Because I was unable to put it up on CL for best offer. It was a way to get offers that would not gazumph the current high bidder by $10. If all I got was $3500 the $3750 bid won, if I got $3750 it also won by virtue of being first. But if I got a $4000 offer I would let them have time to respond. In another 90 minutes it will be moot anyway, $3750 is the highest bid and 1830 hrs will be the close of further offers.

Or did I not make clear that this was a form of auction, albeit a slow one.

I'm on board w/ you getting the best price for your Laverda- however you planned on achieving that goal- and privileged to be a part of the process. I'm here if anything falls through & most importantly safe travels & enjoy time in Europe!

Wow - that is just a great buy. Hard to believe if you think back 10 years.
If it was a runner I could have obviously gotten much more…..but it is what it is. The main thing is that it stayed in the family!
I did have a guy who described himself as”one of the best motorcycle engineers in the world”, a part-time college professor and the maker of over 6000 parts enquire….. now he says he is going to use the bikes license plate to track me down for wasting his time! SMH 🤦‍♂️😵‍💫

Alzero, sadly, it is a reflection of the times we are living in. Very soon, we are going to be too old to throw a leg over these beauties/beasts from Breganze, and then what do we do with them? The kids don't want them. Why would they? You actually have to work on Laverdas and most other Classic motorcycles. Generations X, Y, and Z don't get that part of ownership
I am seeing more and more Laverdas coming up for sale as part of 'Dad's Estate Sales'; sadly, family members are happy to get rid of the relics from Dad's mispent youth.
F..k! The circle of life. If your grandkids do become interested in riding two wheels, chances are it will be a disposable Chinese Moto.
Alzero, I hope all goes well for you in France. Keep on riding motorcycles, it is the best Mental Health therapy I know of.

Some of them are even happy to get rid of Dad.

Well Mr. part time professor doesn't deserve to have it then right? Part time 'cause he's stalking?

Gees, people are annoying. If he has a pet Cop that breaches the Cop rego plate system so he can attack you, he sounds dangerous and needs investigating for his threatened crime.

😳 He must be a very patient sort of individual, if it took me 3 times to make one part properly I’d give in.
