Dawn had already set in - but I think the new color gets across ok!
And most importantly, it?s according to my expectations.

Nicely done paint work but I don't like the colour at all. Aesthetic appeal is a personal thing and it's not my bike. As long as Jo likes it, nobody else's opinion matters.
Actually, it looks way better than my Jota which has more "patina" than it needs. I should give it a tidy up.

Is that rust on the brake pedal? Looks like it could do with a re-chrome to bring it up to the standard of the rest of the bike.

Thanks for your comment Cam. There is still enough patina - just not on the newly painted parts. And even those
will get some in the next years to come. Sorry you didn't like the colour - but you're right - I have to like it ...

No - should be a just a redish light shining out from the Garage - here another picture taken yesterday:

It's a tad darker than the light blue shown in the original brochure (picture borrowed from Steves HP):

It is lovely but I much prefer the chrome exhausts.

Can't wait to get mine done.
Need to get the chrome bits back so as to finish the 750 S and cart the 100 Turismo bits off to the painters so as to have space to dismantle the 3C.

Hey Jo, your bike looks great in blue and yes I will be taking my bike to Breganze next year. cant wait.
by the way I based my paint choice on this photo and it looks remarkably the same as yours,  ::)
exited

Beautiful paint, but agree, blue bikes of any shade except the pale and deepest of blues, don t do it for me,.Chrome downpipes needed as Paul says.

Main thing is you like it Jo, and the 3C is a glorious thing in any shade.

The painter has done - with one exception - a reasonable job. The tank was elaborately treated inside with rust
converter and then coated. On my friends Beemer this coating works reliable for years now. In particular I like
the execution around the filler cap (which is crap on my orange tank):

Regarding the stainless steel exhaust system: Maybe I would do a different decision today - but now it's installed
and will be used. Time will tell ?

Appreciate your open words!

yes good painter, as the fuel will lift the paint there straightaway, if not done, had both done on different bikes so I know! :D.

Some of you may recall the thread on painting started by Russ. https://www.laverdaforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,41809.30.html

He painted his 3CL a kind of pale metallic green. I'm not mad keen on his colour choice either, but he did a nice job and the series of posts on the whole process were interesting.
At least he stuck with the Italian theme. It's a Fiat colour  :D

He had to replace the duck tail and one of the side covers after some pissed bloke sat on his bike at Broadford a few years ago, and knocked it over into another bike. Fortunately he had some paint left so he could re-paint them to match.

Hello Tom,
I think the colour on this title is closer to those on Grants 1st execution on POP and Stefans (Gravelroad) 3c:

Need new badges for the RH side panel, but selected used one's for the LHS and used screws to keep a little patina.
