Is that a machine to put your heart back into fibrillation?
They call them heart starters here, but what they actually do is stop your heart. In fibrillation the heart muscles are going berserk with lots of uncontrolled nerve pulses (fibrillating), so the electric shock is to stop all the pulses (DE-fibrillate) and hopefully it will start with the correct steady pulse and start pumping blood so you can stop doing CPR. Sorry if pedantic, just info.
 
I worked in aviation quality control and the watch word was “you can’t inspect quality into the aircraft”. I also saw the conflict between being paid by the company you are inspecting and doing a good job without fear.

A friend of mine complained that his son was sacked from one of our national carriers after reporting a crack in the tail of a plane he was inspecting.
