This weeks joke

Ha haa! Love the punchline. It actually immediately brought back memories of a (bicycle) road race I was doing. It was an age-based Club Championship on a course that went up and over a mountain and beyond, then returned over the same mountain. For Victorians who know the area, it went from Yarra Junction through Powelltown and up and over the mountain towards Noojee and back.

I'd managed to get away from a bunch of chasers on the return climb with a really strong rider. The guy in front hammered the descent and we both knew the road and were cranking the tight bends at 60-80kph ... until ... we caught two guys on hogs. One of them picked it up enough to at least stay out of the way but the other slug was doing exactly what the joke above describes ... holding us up in the twisties and accelerating away between them. It was definitely costing us time and pissing us off because we didn't want the chasers to get back on. VERY frustrating! But in hindsight, hilarious!

Once it flattened out I couldn't stay with my co-escapee but I held on for a 3rd place. (A top-tier Australian Masters rider had already got away earlier so we were racing for 2nd and 3rd.)

'nother funny but no MC content, sorry :(

A man goes to a Dr. and says, "Dr. there is something wrong with my leg. Put your ear to my thigh and listen."
The Dr. does and hears the thigh say “Dr. I am in bad shape and need some money, can you help me out with $100?"
The Dr. is stunned and had never experienced this before, to which the patient says, "wait - Listen to my knee."
The Dr. puts his ear to the patient's knee, and the knee says, "Dr. - forget the thigh - I really need your help bad, can you help me out with $50?"
Again the Dr. is stunned and again the patient says it gets better, listen to my ankle now.
The Dr. does, and the ankle says, "Dr. - Forget the thigh and the knee - if there is any financial help you can give me it would be greatly appreciated, even $20."
The Dr. shakes his head and says to the patient, "While I have never experienced anything like this in my life, in my professional opinion I can tell you this......
Your leg is broke in 3 places.

"Well ya see fella's, it's like this... A herd of buffalo can only move as
fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the
slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first This natural
selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and
health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the
weakest members. In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as
fast as the slowest brain cells. Excessive intake of alcohol, as we know,
kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain
cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the
weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine.
That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers."
