Illy is without doubt the best mass market coffee going. BTW, had a cup of $6000 a pound Geisha coffee here in Panama the other day, wife loved it, but I thought it tasted like cat piss! Or what I imagine cat piss tastes like…….

Just had a bloody fantastic Hawaiian with anchovies and chilli simply amazing… thin crust and all….
hmm now to have me an Affogato and but of course will be using Illy as anything else is not worth the effort IMHO yum

I am always happy when people are happy, even if it is about eating Hawaiian??? pizza...

Hawaii is famous for its pizza. I'm quite partial to a bit of pineapple on a pizza. It's the combination of sweet and savoury (umami?) that tickles my taste buds. I put a teaspoon of honey in a pot of chilli con carne for the same reason. It seems to enhance the flavour somehow.

Not a Fan of anything sweet on a pizza, but Alsatian tarte flambee with goats cheese and figs has a nice taste and balance of sweet and savoury.

While on subject I was told by an Italian this week how he makes and preps his pizza dough. 650 grams type 00 flour, preferably Italian Kaputto, 350 ml not to warm water blended with 3 grams of yeast. Knead everything well and cover bowl, let rest for an hour. Then it goes into the fridge for 48 hours, is then removed and kneaded once more with a slight sprinkle of semolina. He runs a place, and his non Hawaiian pizza is as good as it gets IMHO
