Apparently the head is not early 3C .......... ( #262 ) ...........
Went through previously posted pics, head is late 3C all-alloy type. My comments were therefore irrelevant and have been deleted.Apparently the head is not early 3C ..........
Well best of luck .... I believe Ged has a good reputation , so hopefully it will be sorted properly this time after all these disappointments and you can draw the line at £15 grand .........
Then you can use and enjoy it ...... and if you paint it red and polish those rims then maybe you will get a fair return if and when you decide to sell it on ........... it`s a nice looking bike .........
It's all very odd Robin, knowing the owner well and riding with the bike I find it hard to believe he said that, and wouldn"t help a sale.Just an outsiders perspective that"s all not being involved in the sale.Originally a Scottish bike with Caithness plates where the awful chroming of engine parts and colour scheme was done beforehand, the one thing it did have was a good running engine in the time I knew it.The owner told me it had. And it never in my ownership has been capable of reving over 5500rpm and 70mph so something has happened to it before I bought it.
Zackly what I was wondering, Pat.Are you sure there hasn’t been an unspecified engine swap in between great bike/shit bike period?
A11 are the original triple cams.A11 cams probably wouldn't work on a 180 motor Clem
The Big StealZackly what I was wondering, Pat.
What's that 70s or 80s Aussie film about the shonky car dealer and the kids who swap his engine for a shitter? I think they were actually getting their own engine back!
Don't forget A12s were also standard fitment. As for some people taking tongue in cheek comments seriously, this forum teaches you a lot about that.I know A11 cams were standard fitments for the triples, except jotas with 4C.
My comment was referring to Clems comment
"Are they (120 type) A11 cams"
Which would not work in a 180 motor.
It was a bit tongue in cheek but some people take every comment serious
Of course they would... on one cylinder.I know A11 cams were standard fitments for the triples, except jotas with 4C.
