3C prices these days?

Hi Chris, in Europe it is from EUR 4000,- for a 3C restauration project to 15.000,- for a first series 3C (drumbrake). But in Canada and USA the price level for sure is higher ...

In view of the number of people who are going to worry about how to eat and have a roof over their heads in the coming months, it's quite possible that prices will drop.

The last one I noticed on ebay.uk sold for just shy of ?9000 GBP and it was a very nice bike.
The project bike that was mentioned on here went for quite a lot comparatively, ?5000+ at auction if I remember correctly.
 
Pat"s on money with UK prices currently, around 8-10K for an early pre oil cooler big headlamp twin disc,and 7-8K for later good examples,not worth paying stupid restored prices nearly double that as you could still do it yourself and come out with change.

Good thing about them is they are Laverdas" best looking classic design triple,especially with the big headlamps and lower to handle around with the Ceriani forks.But then I"m biased :D

 
Doom merchants may be right, but  as Galbraith said, the only purpose of economic forecasting is to make astrology look respecatable😄😄 Like it or nor, the investment market isnt dead yet, for good or ill..a friend thought it worthwhile recently to buy a Ducati Foggy rep for ?26 k..apparently a bargain!

Using a pricing model in the USA with values from the most recent published sales of a 1974/1975 3C, the range is $14,000 to $3,000USD.

All of this is pre covid-china virus. Most prices on collector cars and motorcycles are declining over the past few weeks as folks go from expensive toys to pure bankable cash.

My 3C is not for sale. The dollar value at sale is not a life changing event.

I used to ride expensive collectors motorcycles and now, I'm just riding old bikes.
Even the women in my life are turning away now.

Remember inflation in Germany in the 20s? You needed a wheelbarrow full of bank notes to buy a loaf of bread.
I could never manage a wheel barrow full of bikes.

Looks sensible to me. Better than bending it up and over the headlight bracket, then making a fairly tight turn to tuck it around the steering head and under the tank. The bloody throttle is heavy enough as it is with Dellortos.

I have Mikunis on my Jota which have a lighter spring mechanism, but I still have my throttle cables routed under the headlight bracket like that to avoid tight bends. Mine has opening and closing cables, so there's 2 cables worth of friction. Every little bit helps. Appearance is less important than function in my opinion.
