Big News for your old job, Legs. About time as well.

Great doco that Legs, they were an amazing piece of hands on machinery.
I grew up in Shell Cove, just round the corner from the HMAS Platypus, always messing about in boats and the subs were a normal everyday part of the waterfront, remember the day the two guys got left outside when they dived off the heads, very sad.
As far as the new deal goes, I am hoping that the industry that will be created here in Aus will be huge, imagine the number of apprentices that will do their trade, in all different trades building those subs.
Whether or not they are needed by the time they are finished is another story but we need to manufacture stuff here.
Hopefully we can do it well like we used to.
🙂

It all reminds me of Elvis Costello's 'Shipbuilding' - an ode to the Falklands war. Not the kind of world I would like to live in, but nothing has changed since our cave days.

Get your Veuve and Bolly now - it's about to undergo a little price rise
