Bike ban in Germany on Sundays

The infighting is still happening with the same people. I was reading that Damian Cog exsetra is headbutting some other bunch.Painfull crap abounds
 
"Divided we fall, one and all". It is great that peaceful mass protests often do get results. The protests against the law in Germany may have swayed it, and maybe the over-riding threat make people reconsider obnoxiously loud bikes.

Was a member of the MRA NSW (Monkey Rooters Association) back in the early eighties when Ross Goodman was President. Around the time that Damien became radical and started to flex his muscles.

I got booked for doing over 80kph with a pillion not long AFTER the law had been repealed. I'd guess that was some time in the 1980's in Tassie. The cop who pulled us over didn't know the law had been changed and wouldn't take my word for it. He ranted and raved about endangering my passenger and booked me anyway. He was so apoplectic I thought he was about to have a stroke. Anyway, the following day I wrote a letter to the police, requesting that the charge be withdrawn. I quoted the amended traffic act and the badge number of the booking officer. They didn't withdraw the charge unconditionally, they just reduced it to an official warning. So I ended up with an official warning on my record for doing absolutely nothing wrong. Bastards.

I think traffic laws are set by state governments, so helmet laws probably came in at different times for each state. But I reckon most states had adopted it by the early 70's. Although it was still OK to ride in a sidecar without a helmet until quite recently in Tasmania (dunno about other states).  I'd guess it was around 2005 when they made it compulsory to wear a helmet in a sidecar.
 
That 10,000 bike protest ride to Canberra revolved around point and slogan, Let those that ride decide. It was the start of creeping changes in the name of road safe for Motorcycles. Permanent Lights on all the time, helmet laws, front number plates,that speed for polioning and a few more I forget. The big rub was quite a few of these had zero actual resurch as to whether they made you safer or were plucked out of some NONRIDING pollys arse after a bad Easter Road Toll. And after the protests a lot were scrapped, but then they stated funding University studies that would eventually be sighted as evidence to justafy bringing these laws back. In a lot of cases these studies have flawed modalits or use STATISTICS. The later can be easliy monipulated. At least these days there are Motorcyclists on Government comitiss, but even now they try and pull strokes. Recently they tried changing a Goverment Isurance charge that almost went through. You have to watch these Fuckers very closely.

Clearly a name that can not be mentioned on this forum breach and everyone involved should be subject to a 14 day quarantine and a $500 fine - PayPal the fine proceeds to me - Reigning Court, Judge and Jury  ;o)

Heed my humor as this pandemic is not even close to being over - It's just starting ;o(
 
If your talking about that Damian bloke I would mention his last name but its about a foot long, Greek extraction I think. Not in NSW these days, apparently Victoria and South Oz. Thankfull in NSW we don't do individuals where days, Its now a Council that adigates for Motorcyclists. Less chance of big heads appearing

Of course we were reasonable and kept our distance.

Fortunately, we currently have almost 0 C .......- cases here in Northern Bavaria.

I hope that the USA, Australia and the rest of the world bring C ........ under control so quickly.

I personally believe that this virus will annoy us for another 3-5 years.

Unlimited travel, big open air concerts, ... - we will have to do without that for a while.

Don't despair, we'll do it together

You had better be wearing a mask when you go into public enclosures and maintain distance. The asthma excuse will not be tolerated. If you have asthma send someone in on your behalf who doesn't have asthma or breathing issues. If allowed access over an asthma excuse for not wearing a mask you can sure in hell contaminate the premise whether or not you're aware of the symptoms. Shit! If you can't wear a mask give me your list and I will shop for you.

Christ, anyone with asthma or breathing issues or older then 60 should be well above guard and believe me I will report you to authority if you do not adhere to WHO safe guard criteria regarding this pandemic.

My first sentence was just the answer to your kind of humor.

Of course, we all wear masks when we go to other people's buildings (shopping, refueling, visiting restaurants, ...).
You also have to wear a mask in public transport (bus, train, subway, ...).

We limit the number of people in closed rooms, to keep the necessary safety distance.

Likewise, there is no more handshake.

Without observing these rules, we would never have brought the infection numbers down!

The cases of illness that I know, had a very difficult course although the patients were younger or very fit before. Getting well also took a long time.
By this kind of virus one definitely cannot speak of "flu" or "sniffing".

Thomas aus LAU: Happy to hear your not living in OZ with the Tin Man, I'm a 73 year old Canadian living on the North Shore of Lake Huron, don't eat much but getting fatter every day - Like daily snoot of Scotch  ;o)

Canada isn't that contagious yet but we have lost around 9000 with approx 120,000 reported cases out of a population of approx 38 million.
 
It's called OHIP in Canada; however, Scotch is not covered by the Federal Health Care program -  A main reason why Canadians are probably the highest taxed citizens on earth - Don't tell the Americans that because they will just keep rising prices up on their exports to Canada - LOL
 
"Laverda SF":  Then I would rather not tell you that I have in the last three month processed 300 liters of the finest Jamaica Rum (75% Alc) and good Grappa (arround 65% Alc) due to a delivery bottleneck to disinfectant (according to the WHO recipe).

The doctor's office was threatened with closure due to a lack of disinfectants.

Hard times require sacrifice :-(

I don't know many countries where citizens don't reckon that they're in the most taxed in the world.

You even pay taxes for the church in some countries.

Can you believe there was a time when Canadians could import that Maraca Rum from Jamaica and Cuban Cigars from Cuba when Americans could not.
 
We do have a 120 proof Moonshine Boot Leg source on French rel-estate Islands named Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon in the St Lawrence Gulf occupied by Priests - Sold for about $25 a gallon back in the 60's and 70's several Box Cars were commissioned by unknown personal and delivered to stops unknown across Canada. My Grand Father was a Locomotive Engineer, my Dad a Train Conductor and I ended being a Rail Traffic Controller (Dispatcher). Just say I have Leprechaun heritage.

That shit would burn with a blue flame until it was gone. We use to mix it with Concentrated Grape Fruit Juice about 10 to 1 and called it Purple Jesus - I been known to put it the tank of an Austin Mini a climb Ski Hills on New Years Eve ;o)

Been decades now but I do believe that boot leg operation is a STILL an active distillery as Canada has no control over Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon.
