Broken Hill - 80s Jota owner?

You've gone to some effort with lighting in that photo Nadia. (y)

Be careful parking that bike on its centre stand on any kind of downhill slope. It looks like it could roll forward very easily. Even on level ground it wouldn't take much to nudge it off the stand. If it were my bike I'd adjust the stops on the stand so it goes a little further over-centre.

The pub is full so I am hoping for a room here, suits my style. Its right next door

Blimey Vince, for a second there I thought you were going to say you were hoping to share a room with Nadia. 😲

You wouldn't want to do it Nadia. Vince is an absolute gentleman, but by his own admission he snores like a chainsaw! :D
Thanks for the advice Dellortoman,

Ear plugs work fine for the snoring, as does a late night G&T but does he fart like a bugle ass??? That’s a different matter 😃

Next time I take it down to Dave I’ll get him to have a look at it.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

PS: the light got stuck in the corner but at night I think it looks great 👍

How many times do I have to explain this, I learned on my first Snowy Ride sharing rooms with Dave Roberts and Co. I don't snore, well maybe a bit but I have shared with world champions of that type window rattlers and all and won't do that again if I can avoid it. BTW that B and B in the pic and next to the pub is fully booked, I was sweating at the $180 a night but well. At least we do have breaky there every year and Tommy the Drag Queen still owns it, a lovely funny bloke and the food is brilent.

Snoring seems to be a sensitive topic I see Vince,

Could it be that Dave et al we’re just being polite?

And am I nanoseconds away from being band from this forum - in my first week 😆

Nadia feel free to hook up for this ride, it's one of the more relaxed ones we do. There is a lovely country pub at Gladstone Hotel Newbridge where we have lunch. Here is the report from last years ride.

It's all the Sherlock Homes types here, I like a single room and that means I am the sound emitter and not the receiver. BTW the worst emitter ended up carrying one of those anti apnea pressure masks to stop him from dying dozens of times throughout the night, he was a shocker.

Hi Vince,

Since this thread has deteriorated to snoring and farting - it’s time for me to share an apnea machine yarn (C-PAP) machine in this case.

Generally, each year a bunch of “ladies” 😆 (including some ole nurses like myself) hike our fat, white, Western asses up the Himalayas. We have been doing it for so long now we get the same guides and sharpas nearly every year (probably because they are the only one’s that will put up with us).

Anyway, one year we hiked in a bunch of reading and sunglasses, up that big hill, for the local tribes people. Sunglasses for the snow blindness which causes cataracts and reading glasses for obvious reasons.

We all have our own little round pop-up tent and if a couple come, well they share (couples are rare because men seem to have more sense than to want to spend their time off freezing and breathless).

Well, this particular year we were at about 20,000 odd feet and on the ledge of a pretty spectacular deep ravine when we all go off to our respective tent cubbies for the night.

Well at some ungodly hour during the night I’m woken to my neighbours tent flashing a red light and beeping it’s head off. To which the empathic nurse in me (before she left years ago), woke up and thought holly crap my neighbours must be in some serious trouble (especially at this altitude) that I had better go and see if there is anything I can do to help.

So I go and wake up another ole nurse buddy for moral support just in case we have to do CPR at 20,000 feet and I’m already bloody breathless and struggling to think, only for my nurse mate to tell me not to worry, that the said couple, in the tent beside me were having sex and that’s what happens to a C-PAP machine when it malfunctions due to lack of incoming O2.

So if you think I’m ever coming to anyone’s aide who uses a C-PAP machine, snores or has any other breathing difficulty, think again - cos honey you’re on your own.

That's some ball gag, the ones I have seen are like a Fighter Pilot mask. How do you have sex wearing that?
Exactly Vince,

Hence why I refused to take part in any further details on that subject and never slept next to that tent again.
