I use an oily rag - keeps rust off the outside plates and the inner rollers - the Zane on its paddock stand never sounds smooth when you rotate the rear wheel as the guide is mounted quite high behind the front sprocket / my two triples run smooth on the centre stands

So does mine, but I've found progress down the road to be severely restricted.

My 3C still has the original chain on it, it only has 4K miles on it, requires minimal adjustment and keep it lubed with a garage door lubricant, works great and does not fling off, I will change it out this spring, but really don't have to

I stood in the glue aisle for ages wondering about that one.

I'm disappointed Chris. I thought you'd have come back with a quip about "garage doors" being a euphemism for a certain part of human female anatomy that requires lubrication.

I spotted the Quick Grip thing a couple of months ago when I was in Bunnings for contact adhesive. It had me puzzled too.

It's just an inexpensive lube that doesn't fling off, I get it at Home Depot
