Just fit 42mm items Andre. Stiction just vanishes... and yes, they still seal adequately if the stanchions are OK and the bushes don't show too much slop.As fay as I looked for them, they are not available for 41,7 mm![]()

The difference between the Laverda M1R and the BMW-one is simply a teflon guide at the top. When my Laverda M1R was reworked by HH-RaceTech, they made space for that teflon guide at the top of the fork (below the oil seals). In addition, a special lubrification fluid is used below the dust seal and above the oil seal (a bit of cotton soaked with this fluid) to improve the movement of the fork. Can't claim, but I am also not as experienced as you, Andre. For me this works very, very well...The main issue of the M1R Forks is not the damping system in my opinion, they are sticky and do not slide. I changed to BMW K1100 fork, longer down tubes and much better performance, same dia 41,7mm.

Before leaving home, I couldn’t find the registration papers on the Ducati. I took the papers for the Laverda along, thinking I could claim to have taken the wrong documents along by mistake. I was stopped by the police- two young officers. They asked for papers and took them to the back of the car for about 5 minutes. They then gave them back, and wished me a pleasant journey. They never realized that the documentation was for the wrong bike![]()
Fantastic attention to detail. Gorgeous bike. That's quite a stable you have there!!
If you try them out, keep in mind there is one alloy piece hiding at the bottom of one leg at least (I think the right one, but not 100% sure). you can push it out from the under-side once you removed the all other parts.Once again I have had “contact” with Andreani. Once again a series of mails with a nameless person, that didn’t supply any real answers.
I ordered a set for the K 1100 RS anyway. Should arrive within a week.

Maxton in UK I think is best option for M1R's - they do full cartridge and it will be made to whatever length required and weight for bike & rider. They are also fully adjustable. I have purchase 4 sets.looks like a great option, too. One need to make sure both the Andriani and the Matrix are long enough to cope with the quite long Laverda M1R version. Best is to check with the seller which bikes they were made for and compare the length of these forks with the standard length of the Laverda-fork I'd say.
cheapest I could find the Matris for:

I should have also added, for 18’ rims the best tyres around atm are the Bridgestone CR11, just look at their race results. I’m also using on street. CheersThanks a lot Scott- I will check them out![]()
