Museum opening

+1 what David said. Thanks for posting and wonderful to see Cor's great work of passion living on in a new form. Kudos to all who made it happen and have added a new chapter. I look forward to visiting some time soon!
Interesting to see some new bits presumably on loan from the Family. The V6 engine on the plinth from Massimo's entry hall, still remember all those years ago meeting him and standing in front of it, in that room and not quite believing where I was. I think the original triple engine was not in Cor's collection either, provided by Piero?

Yes it is a great display of bikes in the museum,full credit to Werner and his merry band of volunteer workers for creating this😊👍. I was there from around 9-30 till late, had a great day with friends old and new 😊👍. So have to do it all again today, hard work I know but I’ll do it, Due to limited data on my phone am unable to post photos ATM. I’ll get around to it when I’m back home.

Well that’s the museum opening over☹️Finished up about midnight feeling a bit sad but on a bright note it was really good to see so many of the locals come to the opening. Lots of young families withe little ones wandering around the bikes with big grins on their faces and smiling parents in tow,maybe some new members of the Laverda community 😂👍. Had a close look at the output shaft on the V6 engine and you can see a lot of damage from when the drive shaft has failed. Is this the Bol Dor motor?. Anyway we’ve all had a great time and a heap of laughs and probably too many drinks but there won’t be another opening like this so it was worth i

I arrived back in the UK a couple of hours ago - from 38 degrees in Breganze to 16.5 at home.....

Fantastic weekend. The museum is superb and all credit to the owner who seemed a very genuine, likeable guy when I spoke to him. Nice to meet so many Laverdisti from across the world; Wolfgang, Wilfried, Luc and Eva and even Tim Parker was able to make the trip. Also lovely to see the huge amount of locals and families involved and attending, which seems very important for the future. I'll have fond memories of this weekend for many years to come.

That was a 180 engine, first belt distribution version built in 1970.

It was a fabulous and unforgettable weekend with an unbelievably good organization done by an extremely enthusiastic team of volunteers who did their work with a smile on their face despite the burning sun. Credit, and a deep bow, to Werner and Irina Ricciolini. Cor Dees must have looked down from his cloud with great satisfaction!
