Museum opening

It was a fabulous and unforgettable weekend with an unbelievably good organization done by an extremely enthusiastic team of volunteers who did their work with a smile on their face despite the burning sun. Credit to ,and a deep bow, to Werner and Irina Ricciolini. Cor Dees must have looked down from his cloud with great satisfaction!

If something might be added to Marnix perfect words I would say that Irina and Werner made a jewell out of Cor's exceptional legacy

a wonderful unforgettable journey :)

Here two pictures of Gijs van Dijk's very tidy looking test bike (with 4-valve head, Nikasil coated liners and fuel-injection):

Info available from the web describes a performance increase of 35% (with the three measures above) - that would mean at least 105 hp ...

180 engine as well?

I did not ask Gijs whether it is a 120 or 180 deg engine but I assume it is a 120. Also his race engines were 120 deg.
Made some more fotos. Will the connecting tubes in the downpipes tell us?

I haven't put much thought into telling the outward difference between a 180 and a 120 engine other than typically different-looking rocker boxes and that's not much help as both types fit either engine. The only rubber-mounted 180s were Motods. It's a very understated-looking Laverda for what it is. It looks very 180 with its bodywork other than what looks like the rubber mounts, I do like the cut and shut headers though. And a Hydro clutch and those heavy-duty hoses near the starter motor, no idea what they're for and what looks like a series 2 primary cover. Plus it's my favourite green colour. I would love a test ride.

and it is, what you see on the exhaust side is pretty much copied on the inlet side.

there was at least one SOHC triple though and it looked very much like what it actually was, a twin with an extra cylinder.

Hi all, many thanks to Werner and Irina for this great event. Their team of helpers (mostly friends) did an excellent job - perfect organization! I always enjoy meeting and chatting with LAVERDA enthusiasts from all over the world. I am very happy that there is finally a MUSEO MOTO LAVERDA in Breganze that will become the center of our LAVERDA world and a meeting place for the LAVERDA community. I am sure that Cor Dees would be very happy ...! Ciao, Gert

I wonder what Ric Oro thinks, I mean he has got some nice bikes in his two level showroom, plus the ground floor wharehouse full of projects and even more at his house.
