Last year there was an interview with ABC Radio and a yank from NASA about 3D printing. An Aussie bloke called in and asked the yanks what they were planning to do with 4D printing. The yank asked for the interview to be stopped, there was silence and the interview started again shortly after ............. on 3D printing.
Things have gotten back to normal since the 4D printing team was stopped trying to storm the Capitol disguised as men from Roswell.

No dumb questions Sid - this subject is truly massive. It's interesting to learn the principles, then that expands to a huge world of 3D.
Even for me it is fascinating, and I started my CAD career in 1982. Back then we were in 2D (kinda electronic pencil) then 3D wireframe, then 3D solids, then 3D parameterics, and on and on it goes.

Fannying around with this at the mo....
Why? I think you'll find that its also a Ducati part.

Yes, I know. A universal part of the era. Experimenting with printer and filaments..
It’s a massive learning curve trying new filaments , not to mention printing something little and getting it right and then printing a 50 hour print to have it not print in the same way ! I’m playing a lot with a nylon 6 and 6.6 with 20% carbon in , I can get great 50mm cube prints but when I go bigger , it all just changes ! Ruby tipped printing nozzles have helped a lot !
