So is it a modern alternative to the factory stuff or not? And is it easy to source?

Can anyone ascertain if the steel insert that the needle bearings press into in SFC rollers is just a press fit or is there some other technique used - scuse my ignorance.

Used to be tall and slim, now just tall...
I am still tall too 😁

I were briefly 10st/63.5kg aged 16. It didn't last. Just a few times since I have nudged beyond, but... but... But. BUT o_O and I need to check, at some point.

Very proud to report I have cracked my lifetime weight watching goal; namely to get to and maintain 140+lb. 65kg is good, 68 would make buying clothes that fit easier.

Seems to be available in all sorts of obscure foreign places...

I'd press those roller bearings in with a light press fit, yes. There's no load sideways and the bracket will keep it in place anyway.
If at all worried you might select a bearing that is a bit narrower than the roller and fit it in the centre; the ends of the bore will close up a bit and keep it from going anywhere. But don't make a fuss about it. Copy that factory item and you'll be fine.

Wonder what it looks like when it wears and what sort of swarf and detritus it leaves behind after it's spun on the chain for 5 billion revolutions - guess it can't be any worse than the factory stuff.

Pom pom pom pom
Pom pom pom pom.

I hope you all recognised the opening of Beethovens 5th symphony.

I didnt know that Thai silk leggings were meant to fit, and dont forget that you now have 2 kilos of hair, no longer looking like Charles Bronson the slayer, but you will always be longshanks even if you cut them down for trap racing.
