I am still tall tooUsed to be tall and slim, now just tall...
I like the look of that - if it reduces the incidence of nylon flakes in my oil, I'd happily use it and m ake some up on the lathe. What's the material? or is it a secret?I hope so! ...photo courtesy Keith Nairn at Laverda Scozia

Like these damper rod bushesLooks like acetal to my peepers.
POM - tradename Delrin...that's the stuff. User it a lot more than nylon, it's better at absorbing shocks and it doesn't get brittle as fast.

Seems to be available in all sorts of obscure foreign places...So is it a modern alternative to the factory stuff or not? And is it easy to source?
Can anyone ascertain if the steel insert that the needle bearings press into in SFC rollers is just a press fit or is there some other technique used - scuse my ignorance.
Hard as a cats head Q !Wonder what it looks like when it wears and what sort of swarf and detritus it leaves behind after it's spun on the chain for 5 billion revolutions - guess it can't be any worse than the factory stuff.
