Bloody hell! That's a total bummer for Matt, you, the team - us! I couldn't get my head around how Matt could have ridden with that injury. If it was a complete break the only way would be to have that amazing ortho who used to pin GP riders back together and have them back on their bikes in days (weeks in Mick Doohan's case). Anyone who's had that injury without the benefit of the lofty orthos knows how crippling it can be.
 
Twas great to see the Mule out on circuit yesterday here in Darwin and well guess it was also for Matty a bitter sweet thing to see also. She fired up rather briskly probably well chuffed that she would get to get a few laps after enduring the run in the van all the way up.
Sounded awesome out on track as usual. Now TC no comments re my shirt OK as I was kind of actually working also

Oh and at least someone was savvie enough to come along with an Orange 120 1200 triple to the track

Broken left and dislocated right …. both motorbike crashes.

The dislocated right took longer to come good, than the break.

Bummer for the whole team. 😦
 
At least Matt is still smiling and has found a matching friend
Been carnage up here this week
If it keeps going there may be only 4 or 5 riders left for Sunday

Was good seeing the mule on the track and Matt in good spirits. When I was riding out after that session had a front row seat to that bloke losing the front in turn 14. Good smack on the head and tumble. Was unco for a long minute. That would've hurt.
 
Looking forward to seeing the hi tech version of cable tie fork travel on some of the resident club suspension gurus bikes gotta be way better trading from a laptop right

Matt cannot obtain his medical clearance yet so no, we are not at Phillip Island
And the weather down there is fucking perfect for the first time in 5 years, we would have run 1 min, 45 secs if we had of made it

Sydney next month also in doubt for same reason so basically, our season is dusted
but been machining up a bunch of custom parts for my race bikes, they are being "upgraded" again

we are busy modifying the suspension and output shaft so we can obtain more lean angle and edge grip as the 160 rear slick is holding us back
that is going to cost me around $10-$15k to do both bikes, lot of gearbox modifications and custom parts involved
so intention is to race again next year and smash every track record for F4 BEARs so the Laverda name will never be beaten in that class again
