Moto GP starting this weekend

slightly different tack, but I usually attend a motogp each year (covid put paid to the last 2 years) but this year I wanted to go back to the sachsenring in germany. The official motgp site says sale closed and has done for months so with the help of the couple I will be staying with we went direct to the track and I purchased from them (platinum are the 3 day tickets)

Great race at a fantastic circuit, my only gripe. What the fuck is it with the stupid air horns before the start.

Vince, it's a South American thing at sporting events if you ever watch a football match from South America, Mexico too it's a constant racket of airhorns from the crowd. A few years back I went to several games in Sao Paulo, Brazil it was blasting airhorns from kick-off to the final whistle, ear-shattering very annoying ruined the experience the second game I took earplugs. They are banned from world-cup matches.

The cricket in Pakistan is the same. They blow those fucken things non stop. If you tried that at the MCG you’d be going home with it stuck up your clacker 😵‍💫

So F1 starts in Meolbane good race, SBS has the Oz MX round on, World Superbikes also start, those blokes are nuts race 1 is crazy aggressive also with Olly Baluse getting a wide in World Supersports doing well to finish both races and Moto GP later tonight from the USA, do Jack.

Apparently the brass at Ducati were pissed off seeing Millar heading qual, while hopping with glee when Pecco and Martin headed the charts. Happy days.

Spoiler.

What the fuck, So Jack does a great race, leads for 98% but cannot fight back or be aggressive in the last 2 laps. He gets passed by a bloke with a year-old Ducati who can be aggressive and a Suzuki who has been RIPPING hard in the bends and under brakes and still can in those last 2 laps and then we have Marc who RIPS AND TEARS all race long to the extreme and also still has tyres in the last 2 laps. What the actual fuck does it take to keep that bike going for all the bloody race at the pointy end. And he seems happy with that result, I would be pissed to the MAX.

Because the bloke behind the handlebars knows that he has no chance of getting back past without most likely ending up in the gravel, and right now Jack will be very aware of how the Duc brass would view him binning it after leading for 98% of the race. He was happy to finally have a good result after a shitful start to the season. At least he isn't on a KTM, they must be really hurting. Regardless, the entire field (besides last man) got to the flag within about 40 seconds of the winner after 40 minutes. Margins are ridiculously small now.

Spoiler.

Maybe what Jack needs to do is win a bunch of races. That is the best way that I know of to show how talented you are ......

Not always that easy if your machine doesn't want to race. Not that I'm not frustrated at times with Jack. But when your job is on the line I guess bringing the thing home in one piece and on getting yourself on the podio is better than making a bold move and throwing it (and your contract for next year) into the kitty litter. I personally don't envy him. Marquez in contrast seems to throw his away with abandon but is a protected species.
