Moto GP starting this weekend

If the Moto GP qualifying sessions 1 and 2 from today are any indications then the GP race tomorrow will be a cracker, with Italian rookies on old Ducati (2021) along with VR's kid brother on another 2021 Ducati filling out the all Italian front row.
MM #93 will race at the Mugello GP Sunday but has announced he is out for the remainder of 2022 and needs corrective surgery. Italian riders on the front row, on Italian bikes at the Italian GP. 5 Ducatis in the first 2 rows!
 
I wouldn't be surprised if MM pulls the pin permanently, after THAT 1st pre rain Qualifying launch to the moon. He wants to do what he used to be able to do but that's just not happening and he will hurt himself badly if he keeps trying. I think that's the sad truth of it.
 
For those who are too stingy to pay for Netflix or some other provider of sports coverage for MotoGP, I found this free website that covers a heap of motorsport. It has full MotoGP races including the pre-race waffle and post race interviews. They occasionally have a bit more interesting after-race stuff like chat between riders, etc. Also no annoying advertisements.
 
Does this give you access to the live races, Cam? And not even a VPN required! Pretty amazing that the megolith of MotoGP would allow that to happen! Do you need to register?
 
I doubt if live coverage is available on fullraces.com, but it makes bugger-all difference to me. I rarely watch races live anyway because they're usually in the middle of the night here in Australia. When live coverage was available on TV, I'd record it and watch it later.

I just caught up on the last couple of races that I'd missed due to the lack of TV coverage here in Australia. At the end of the French race at LeMans, they showed some casual chat between Bastianini, Miller and Aleix Espargaro as they were waiting for the podium ceremony. They were quite animated in re-living the race. It was interesting to see them without their politically correct public image masks on. At one point Jack said "I shit my pants" when describing Alex Rins' high speed short-cut through the kitty litter then re-entering the track and crashing right in front of Jack and Pecco. Being Spanish Italian and Aussie, they were conversing in their common language of English, but Jack was speaking with some kind of weird Spantalian accent with an occasional Spanish or Italian word thrown into the mix.
 
Thanks Cam. Know what you mean by the late hour. Ditto for me with the Tour de France and the Giro. When i was a full time muso going to bed at 3am was no drama - way past my geriatric bedtime these days - and the gigs are fewer and tend to be at more reasonable hours.
 
Going to gigs could be where you picked up Covid. I have a mate who lives in the bush in country Victoria who's also a muso. His band got a gig in Melbourne a couple of months ago. He got Covid at the gig and then passed it on to his wife. At least she can't complain that he never gives her anything. They're both recovering now, but still not 100%.
