What did you do to or for or with your Laverda today?

That's not my experience. They let house fall into disrepair because of ridiculous French inheritance laws and squabble like mad until the place falls down.
A heap of bigotry and bias on top of a mountain of ignorance have never constituted an experience of any sort.

We rented in Umbria for a year or so and I asked the owners of the property, who were Italian, why there were so many derelict houses in the countryside. They said a complicated inheritance system was one of the problems. It was a real shame actually as from a distance these houses looked magnificent , very often atop a hillside. Only when you got close did you realise they had fallen into decay.

🤔 I’ve had an idea for a tv series

Sometimes people ask me for pizza, bread, etc. thankfully no one has asked me to arrest anyone yet.
It’s not the right color—but if you repaint it, I’m convinced anything is possible.
From experience, I know plenty of girls who love uniforms and fantasize about being handcuffed.
You wouldn't believe what goes on in the back of a police van—at least, back in the day, before the rise of this moralizing society.

Coming back to the GT seat, picked it up from the upholstery. Like I said only new foam and the original cover was just fitted on top of it held by some nails. I clued the bottom myself and installed the strip the tiny bolds. Just a request from my side, to make sure all is in the correct position.

In my opinion it looks good. On the drivers position the foam is a bit deeper. Maybe it would have been nicer if it was straight with the back part of the seating area. But much more comfortable than it was before. I do not recommend sitting on the seat frame which still causes pain when I think about it.

Next week I can drive it to the RDW to import the bike for a dutch license plate. For now it sits quite comfortable by flat GT seats standards haha.

For ultimate comfort, you need a black sheepskin cover. Gives me an extra 2 hours of riding before numbus bumus sets in.

Agree. There are modern alternatives but sheepskin works for me. Nürburgring to Stellendam, with only a fuel stop. No problem

I saw your bike last weekend but didn’t have time to find and meet you. BTW do you know the owner of the white GT with dutch license plate? That bike must be imported last month I guess by seeing the license plate.

No. Sorry don’t know the owner of this rather beautiful bike.
I’ve been stationed in the Netherlands but have yet to meet up with any Dutch Laverda riders.

Better late than never ..

I received the missing parts coming from Italy during the last Laverda Legends at the Nürburgring a few days ago .. cool.

What remains of that unique '73 fairing will undergo some cosmetic surgery into the "operating mold" thanks to our friend Marnix in the Netherlands.

The repairs of the 2025 Varano de Melegari carnage can finally begin 👍
